The Sunday Art Show - Loose and lively sheep and autumn landscape painting

In this week's Sunday Art Show, I show you how to create a painting of a sheep in an autumn landscape using watercolour and interactive acrylic. You can see the finished painting in hi-res here:

You can find a gallery of sheep paintings and drawings here: https://mike-jory.pixels.com/collections/sheep+paintings
The sheep inspiration came from a visit to the flock at Powderham castle in the summer. The trees were inspired by some bright orange foliage in a car park in Exeter. I use loose washes and lots of different ways of applying the paint to create the finished sheep and landscape painting.
Materials used: 7B pencil, Winsor and Newton Watercolour Set (Cotman), Synthetic round and flat brushes, Daler-Rowney mixed media paper, Atelier interactive acrylics (titanium white, burnt umber, cadmium yellow deep, alizarin crimson, french ultramarine)
