'Curling and swirling' - created using multiple layers of dry-brush style acrylic paint put down using marker pens, this en plein air sketch was inspired by a wave crashing on the sandy beach at Fistral beach in Cornwall. A wide range of colours is used: light blue, Prussian blue, fluorescent green, cadmium orange, cadmium yellow, titanium white, cerulean blue.
