The Sunday Art Show - Phinishing a Pheasant Painting - Strutting My Stuff

This week, I paint a colourful pheasant walking through a countryside landscape using interactive acrylic over a conventional acrylic under painting. You can zoom in on the hi-res finished painting "Strutting My Stuff" here: https://mike-jory.pixels.com/featured/pheasant-walking-in-english-countryside-landscape-painting-mike-jory.html

I often leave paintings unfinished with a view to returning to them at a later date. This pheasant picture was a WIP from 3 years ago and was inspired by a pheasant that came walking past our house, something of a surprise as we live in town (though relatively close to some country lanes and fields). I was reminded of the painting the other day when I again, saw a pheasant in town, this time crossing the road at a traffic lights-controlled pedestrian crossing! It was great fun returning to this almost-forgotten WIP and finishing it...finally! :-) See you next Sunday for the next episode of the Sunday Art Show.
