'Strutting my stuff' - this painting was inspired by a pheasant walking around in front of my house, we actually live in town, though country lanes are about quarter of a mile away, so I guess he got temporarily lost. I began this picture using conventional acrylic to loosely define the pheasant along with a rambling textured colourful countryside background. Then, I used interactive acrylic on top of the dried underlayers to finish painting the bird.
